We received this little beauty for a full interior re-trim this week.
I shall try and keep you up to date as we go along.
Butyl sound deadening mat applied to the floor and roof . . .
. . . then foil back insulation,
followed by hollow fibre insulation.
Feltex underlay is used for added sound insulation and comfort, then the carpeting starts.
Much head scratching takes place with customer supplied carpet kit which didn’t fit !
Carpet kit recut and made to fit, then re-edged.
At this point, it’s the first fitting of the seats etc., and then the headlining goes in.
Then rear parcel shelf . . .
. . . rear seats,
. . . front seats,
. . . door side panels fitted and finally it’s finished.
All the interior re-trimmed in Bridge of Weir cream Leather, all horse hair replaced and a full 1 inch foam scrim topper used for the fluting to give depth to the stitching.
